Manila—The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) began operating an additional hour on weekday evenings starting Monday, March 24, 2025, to better serve commuters during peak times. The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced that the last train from North Avenue station now departs at 10:30 p.m., while the last trip from Taft Avenue station leaves at 11:09 p.m.
In addition to the extended hours, MRT-3 has increased the number of trains running during peak periods. Transportation Secretary Vince Dizon stated that these adjustments aim to improve the commuting experience by reducing wait times and easing congestion.
The MRT-3 serves thousands of passengers daily across its 13 stations, connecting North Avenue in Quezon City to Taft Avenue in Pasay City. Commuters are advised to adjust their travel plans based on the new schedule and monitor MRT-3’s official social media for further updates.
