Later this year, Tesla’s first flagship store in Taguig City’s Uptown Bonifacio shopping district will open, marking the company’s Philippine debut. Street decals and job listings for sales and service positions have already been spotted, hinting at the automaker’s preparations for the Philippine market.
Expect the new store to offer a wide range of Tesla electric vehicles (EVs), including the Model 3, Model S, Model X, and Model Y, along with the much-anticipated Cybertruck. Alongside vehicle sales, the location will feature a dedicated service and after-sales support center, ensuring that customers receive top-tier care.
This move marks Tesla’s fourth store in Southeast Asia, following successful launches in Singapore, Thailand, and Malaysia.
Uptown Bonifacio, developed by billionaire Kevin Tan’s Megaworld Corp., is a prime location for Tesla’s entry into the Philippine market. Several electric vehicle charging stations already exist in the area, and the addition of Tesla Superchargers to the infrastructure could further boost the country’s adoption of electric vehicles.
Expected to accelerate the country’s shift toward sustainable transportation, Tesla’s expansion into the Philippines aligns with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions. The launch follows Elon Musk’s SpaceX introduction of its Starlink internet services in the Philippines earlier this year, signaling the tech mogul’s growing interest in the country.
As Tesla gears up for its Philippine launch, the store’s opening could mark a significant milestone in the country’s EV landscape.
