MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine government, in a landmark move to streamline travel and reduce congestion, officially launched the “One RFID, All Tollways” system on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the launch ceremony in Calamba City, Laguna, heralding the end of the long-standing inconvenience of needing multiple RFID stickers for different Luzon expressways.

The new system, also known as the Toll Collection System Interoperability Project, unifies the previously separate Autosweep and Easytrip electronic toll collection systems. Motorists can now use a single RFID sticker and a single load wallet to pass through all major expressways in Luzon, a move President Marcos said is aimed at reducing “unnecessary stress and delays” for travelers.

“We are listening to the concerns of our fellow Filipinos. That’s why we studied the problem and found a good solution,” President Marcos said in his speech. “From now on, only one RFID sticker will be needed for all our toll expressways across Luzon.”

The initiative is a collaboration between the Department of Transportation (DOTr), the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), and the country’s major tollway concessionaires: San Miguel Corporation (SMC) and Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).

Under the new interoperable system, registration is voluntary and free of charge. Motorists can opt-in online via the Autosweep or Easytrip websites to choose their preferred RFID provider. After registering, they must visit an authorized service center to have their unchosen RFID sticker removed, leaving only the one linked to their unified account.

The system covers all major Luzon tollways, including the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Skyway, STAR Tollway, NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX)—all previously under Autosweep. It also integrates the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), NLEX Connector, Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX), and the Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX), which were previously under Easytrip.

DOTr Acting Secretary Giovanni Lopez noted that the project was the culmination of eight years of effort to overcome various challenges. President Marcos praised the “continued trust, commitment, and flexibility” of the private partners, SMC and MPIC, for their cooperation in making the unified system a reality.
