PRC Releases Mechanical Engineering Examination Results

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the results of the February 2025 Mechanical Engineers and Certified Plant Mechanics Licensure Examinations on February 24, 2025, three working days after the last exam.

The latest exams saw 3,089 out of 6,318 candidates pass the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Exam, while 30 out of 84 examinees made it through the Certified Plant Mechanics Licensure Exam. Meanwhile, results for two examinees have been put on hold pending further review.

 

Topnotchers and School Performances

Graduates from the University of Cebu, Iloilo Science and Technology University (ISAT U), and Batangas State University ranked among the top three examinees respectively:

  • Nico Anthony Ferenal Tejano took first place with a score of 93.50%.
  • Ivan Joey Ablanido Gadot landed in second place with 92.15%.
  • Jerome Moog Igbus took third place with 91.30%.

Registration and Oath-taking Details

Newly licensed mechanical engineers and plant mechanics can begin registering for their Professional Identification Cards (ID) and Certificates starting April 14, 2025, through the PRC website. Those registering must bring the following:

  • Accomplished Oath Form
  • Notice of Admission (for ID processing)
  • Passport-sized photos
  • Documentary stamps and a brown envelope

All successful examinees are required to register in person. The oathtaking ceremony details, including date and venue, are still to be announced according to the PRC website.
