Metro Manila — San Miguel Corporation (SMC) has opened the Quezon Avenue extension northbound exit ramp along Skyway Stage 3 to help ease traffic congestion in Metro Manila. Just in time for the anticipated travel peak time around the year-end holidays, San Miguel Corporation (SMC) opened the new ramp on December 28, 2024.

“We’re opening the Maria Clara exit just in time for the last long weekend of the year when many of our countrymen are traveling for New Year’s celebrations. This exit has been long awaited by our motorists in Quezon City, who now have a convenient alternative,” said SMC chairman and Chief Executive Ramon Ang.
Motorists navigating the busy streets of Quezon City and neighboring areas, particularly near the G. Araneta Avenue exit should benefit from the new infrastructure.
Strategic Location and Toll Fee Details
The exit ramp’s location is planned to improve mobility for motorists without additional costs. For instance, vehicles entering the Skyway system at Buendia will continue to pay the standard ₱264 toll fee.
The Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) granted an interim permit for the ramp’s operation, allowing its use to help address traffic problems in the metro while the final requirements are still ongoing completion.
Skyway Stage 3, which connects Makati to Quezon City and NLEX, is designed to handle up to 200,000 vehicles daily. It is the latest addition to SMC’s expansive toll road portfolio, which includes major expressways such as the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) and Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).
